Dr Douglas Truong
Dentist
Dr Douglas Truong is passionate about empowering his patients with the knowledge to
maintain long-term oral health while also achieving high-quality cosmetic outcomes. As a
University of Sydney graduate, he has a degree in both Oral Health Therapy and Doctor of
Dental Medicine and has a special interest in working with anxious patients. Due to his
extensive experience in various cultural and medical backgrounds, Dr Douglas understands
the time, patience and empathy required to create the trust needed to foster a positive and
comfortable dental experience.
He has previously worked at Hunter New England Local Health District where he enjoyed
time in both regional clinics and hospitals, including Special Needs Dentistry before moving
back to Sydney. Dr Douglas also has a great passion for surgical procedures and teaching. He
has completed electives in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, teaching and leadership, and is
currently completing studies in the gIDE Master Clinician Program in Implant Dentistry.
He currently works in private practice as well as the University of Sydney as a Clinical
Educator for Bachelor of Oral Health and a Learning Advisor for Dental Students.
Outside of dentistry Dr Douglas is an avid volleyball player, martial artist and photographer.
